Real Estate Tax Payments will NOT be accepted at the Township Building. Please follow instructions on the tax bill for payment.
Tax Structure:
Earned Income – 1% for both Township and School combined
The real estate millage for the 2024 budget is 4.50 mills, broken down as follows:
- General Township Purpose – 2.75 mills
- Emergency Services (Ambulance/EMS ) – 0.500 mills
- Fire Protection – 1.25 mills
The tax revenue for emergency services and fire protection is earmarked to help support the Westwood Fire Company and Ambulance Division to include capital replacement savings and operation funding support.
- Earned Income Tax - 1% for both Township and School Combined
- Township Property Tax - 4.50 mils
- Real Estate Transfer Tax - 1%
- EMS Tax - $52.00
