Valley Township’s first township manager was sworn in at the September 1, 2015, Board of Supervisors meeting.
Robert Glisson was sworn in by Judge Grover Koon. He previously worked as borough manager of Oxford for five years, township manager of East Caln for four years, and most recently as the public works director for Norristown.
“We’re making history,” said Chairwoman Patrice Proctor. “This is the first time ever Valley has had a township manager.”
Glisson is a retired Marine Corps major who is originally from Downingtown and now lives in Oxford with his wife, Mary. Glisson earned a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ursinus College.
