Ordinance 2017-01, which amends Chapter 20, Part 2, Section 203 of the Solid Waste Ordinance, requires that garbage be kept at all times in a receptacle of not more than 48 gallons, or a total of 128 gallons, that is watertight with lids and handles. Items placed in the can shall be in a bag to protect the contents from scattering or from breaking open. Placing trash bags not in a container at the curb is in violation of our ordinance. Please place trash at the curb by 5:00am.

Bulk Trash Collection

Mattresses and box springs are no longer allowed to be picked up and dumped in the landfill. (If replacing your boxspring and mattress, please take this into consideration when purchasing your new set to see if the vendor will take your old set.) Mattress collection is available to those residents whose trash is collected by Valley Township for $35.00 each. This requires a special collection by our Public Works Department; therefore, collection will be once per month on the last Monday of the month. Payment must be received by the Township Office by at least 1 week prior to collection date. Items should then be set out prior to 5:00 am on the collection Monday. (view form)
