Easter Egg Hunt Valley Township's Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held at the Westwood Fire Company on Friday, April 2, 2010. Over 150 children, ages 2 to 12, attend this year's Hunt, in addition to the Easter Bunny.
National Night Out On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Valley Township, along with thousands of other communities across America, will take part in National Night Out. It's a night when residents are asked to turn on their lights and come out and join forces against crime in their community. This will be the 27th Annual Night Out, and community residents are asked to come out and get to know each other. The event is to heighten the awareness against crime and drug activity in the community. The Valley Township Police Department will host a flashlight walk event throughout the community. Valley Day 2010 will be held on Saturday, August 14, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Location will be the Westwood Fire Company, 1403 Valley Road, Coatesville. There will be many activities provided at no cost to include: moon bounce, rock climbing, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and new for 2010 are "The Trampolilne Thing" & "The Orbotron". If interested in participating in the Second Annual Talent Show, please complete the attached application and return it to the address listed below by August 6, 2010. The talent show will be judged in three age categories: 8-12, 13-18 and adult over 18. There will be a limited number of contestants, so get your entry form in early! Valley Township We are also accepting applications for FOOD & CRAFT VENDORS. If interested, please complete the attached Vendor Form. To be a sponsor of this year's annual event, please complete the SPONSOR FORM and return it either by mail or in person to the Township Office with your check.
If you would like to volunteer for the 2010 Valley Day, please join us at a Parks & Recreation meeting. The Parks & Recreation Board meets the last Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Building.
